Class Summary
This advanced course is designed for experienced ammonia refrigeration operators, managers, and plant engineers looking to deepen their expertise. Building on foundational knowledge, it covers complex topics like PSM for operators, advanced refrigeration systems, and electricity fundamentals, preparing students for the CIRO test and enhanced job performance.
Prerequisites
2 Years of Experience for the CIRO Exam
Training Materials
This training is based on RETA Industrial Refrigeration II Training Manual (IR-ll) and builds on the information in IR I. The student is introduced to insulation systems, the Mollier Diagram, psychrometrics, liquid feed methods, compressor types, complex refrigeration systems, and defrost methods.
Students will receive a Hard Copy Workbook, along with the RETA IR-II Manual for reference material.

Classroom Type
This is a 4 day (32-hour) comprehensive training course to ensure you know and understand the content of this training.
This training is LIVE at the NH3 Training Center of Texas, LLC (Montgomery Texas) with a field trip to a local Ammonia Refrigeration facility for the Hands-On-Demonstration.
Classroom minimum is 10 students and a maximum of 20. NH3 Training Center of Texas, LLC may cancel this session if the participation goal isn’t met.
The key to the success of this training program is to ensure you will have the necessary knowledge and skill set to perform your job with integrity and quality. Therefore, you will be given Tests throughout the training, to ensure you have learned the materials.
NH3 Training Center of Texas, LLC shall ascertain that each Student has received and understood the training. NH3 Training Center of Texas, LLC will prepare a record which contains the identity of the student, the date of training, and the means used to verify that the student understood the training.

Our trainers are experienced in Industrial Boiler I and II, Industrial Refrigeration Operator I, II, and PSM/RMP.
